Medical marijuana is giving activists a chance to show how a legitimized pot business can work.
Is the end of prohibition upon us?
In late February, President Obama signaled a new approach. His attorney general, Eric Holder, confirmed at a press conference that he would no longer subject individuals who were complying with state medical marijuana laws to federal drug raids and prosecutions.(read more)

FULegal provides factual information and conservative advice that might assist an average doper, grower, or dealer in their possible encounters with the police and the judiciary.
FULegal provides edited extracts from the same sources consulted by working lawyers and prosecutors. Issues considered include: What is possession? What is trafficking? What is hindering police or resisting arrest? Can the police come onto my property? What does that charge mean? What should I do if I am arrested? What should I say? Who should I turn to for help? etc etc
FULegal does not pretend to be, is not, and cannot be a substitute for good legal advice: so hustle until you hear it. Do not be satisfied with cookie-cutter justice. YOU must take control and INFORM YOURSELF - it’s your arse on the line! This book is my small attempt to inform the people who need to know. (Bong on Australia!)
FULegal is the hackwork of a single reactionary old leftie who is studying Law. It has been compiled using Halisbury’s ‘Laws of Australia’ [HLoA], ThompsonReuters LegalOnline ‘Laws of Australia’ [LOLoA] plus lots of coffee & weed, and plenty of bitter experience. REMEMBER: The information contained within this manual is woefully incomplete, can only be used as a guide, and may even be wrong! DO NOT DEPEND ON THIS MANUAL FOR LEGAL ADVICE. by FULegal. EFA man had dirty socks and sandals with crusty old love handles. He spent most of his life going nowhere. EFA man was always cold and hungry, he wanted healthy food. He was losing the fight against evil viruses invaded his body.
One day EFA man found free hemp, a mobile phone and back pack, and then made money to win his battle. EFA man gave jobs and new hope to the people on the land. With the natural oil from cannabis seeds, they stopped the spread of disease, used them for food and fuel for their machines.
EFA man saved the forest from the greedy wood-chippers with the hemp plants strong and fast growing fibres. He made all sorts of things from just one plant. EFA man helped others relax from stress and keep calm with a few hemp flowers.
People believe that hemp is good medicine, have faith in herbs and healing is their mission. The omega Sisters of vitality say; "Some hemp oil today keeps the Doctor away."
Hempseed typically contains over 30% oil and about 25% protein, with considerable amounts of carbohydrates, dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals. Hempseed oil is over 80% in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), and is an exceptionally rich source of the two essential fatty acids (EFAs) linoleic acid (18:2 omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (18:3 omega-3). The omega-6 to omega-3 ratio (n6/n3) in hempseed oil is normally between 2:1 and 3:1, which is considered to be optimal for human health.
In addition, the biological metabolites of the two EFAs, gamma-linolenic acid (18:3 omega-6; GLA) and stearidonic acid (18:4 omega-3; SDA), are also present in hempseed oil. Subjective concerns over delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in hempseed foods are not supported by scientific evidence.
Hemp seed oil: 55% omega-6, 20% omega-3 Essential Fatty Acid. Bird discovers hemp buds, finds the seed good, tells EFA man. EFA man struggled with lack of hope until he found hemp and now the rest is history.

Please find reason to question the validity of the hemp seed facts with a non governmental, non corporation, non prohibitionist, non moral crusader, etc, organizations.
Get with the program and debrief yourself of the fascist mind control and deception from the greedy capitalists that have conspired to portray natural herbs as evil. Wake up and look at the default model of vegetable protein with all the essential amino acids in significant proportions.
Did you know hemp seeds contain edestin and albumin similar to the protein of soy beans and egg whites? Get real with real food and natures perfect seed from the cannabis plant. No trans-fat, and they can be grown organically. Can you find a plant that is a very efficient way to reduce CO2 levels from the atmosphere? How could one plant replace major unsustainable industries? Do you need: Cotton, Coal, Crude Oil, Woodchip, Beef, Dairy or Soy Beans?
Guess which plant can provide strength to your immune system and help protect your body from viral infections and cardio-vascular disease? Question what you are told and look at where the money comes to maintain the status quo. In whose best interest is it to produce petrochemical drugs? Where does bio-fuel come from? What has soil fertility got to do with static electricity and micro-organisms? Does the oxygen/acetylene cycle stimulate anything in your garden?
Will you die from stupidity at the shopping mall in the fast food section? Find the evidence to prove cannabis is anything other than the most profitable and desirable plant on earth. Learn who has a patent on the hemp seed in the USA. Who can see the future with a worthless US dollar? Is Bird Flu, or SARS, AIDS and other viral epidemics the result of ignorance and/or bad judgement? Tell yourself why only Australia and New Zealand continue to ban hemp seed for human consumption. Ask the NRL which team used a protein supplement made from illegal hemp seeds.
Who knows the countries Canada export hemp to and what is it used for? What is Finola? What is serum globulin? Why do you need oxygen in your blood? Why does omega-3 help keep you healthy? Is it more profitable to treat the symptoms or the cause of an illness? Is your child prescribed a synthetic drug to correct some invented condition? Do you pay for a bad diet? Who is going to listen? Who is deluded, the hippie or the materialist? Is your weed better than mine? May I burn in hemp? Psychosis is the result from the lack of what?
Will Essential Fatty Acid man save the world like a normal super hero? Just say GROW!

Northern Rivers Hemp Inc is convening a workshop for people who are interested in participating in the local hemp industry.
The workshop will include talks by local hemp farmers and manufacturers followed by a hemp license application workshop. Northern Rivers Hemp Inc is a not-for-profit organization which has been formed by industry participants to support the establishment of the local hemp industry.
Last year, more than 60 prospective industry participants attended a similar workshop convened by Northern Rivers Hemp Inc, stimulating a high level of interest in the local hemp industry. Although the New South Wales hemp industry is still in its infancy - with commercial licenses being issued by NSW Department of Primary Industries for the first time earlier this year – the Northern Rivers Region already has the highest density of hemp licensees in the state.
Hemp is a low-THC strain of Cannabis sativa L. which has been cultivated worldwide for mellennia for the purposes of fibre and food production. Until recently, the production of hemp was prohibited under the Drugs Misuse and Trafficking Act despite the fact that it does not produce significant quantities of THC. Commercial hemp legislation is dealt with on a state and territory level rather than a Federal level, and licenses for commercial hemp production have been issued in Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia for several years.
One of the challenges facing the local hemp industry is that although hemp food products are now sold in supermarkets throughout the world, hemp food products cannot be sold in Australia. Hemp seed is a “superfood”, containing high quality protein, vitamins and more essential fatty acids than any other vegetable oils.
The workshop will take place at Jiggi Hall from 2pm to 5pm on Saturday 29 August. Entry cost is $5.
QUOTES
“The Northern Rivers Region is geo-politically positioned in a very favorable location for the establishment of an industrial hemp industry: The soils and climate are excellent, and the local Community, University and Department of Primary Industries have provided an unprecedented level of support for the establishment of a local hemp industry.” [Dr Keith Bolton, Vice President, Northern Rivers Hemp]
“Hemp seed is a superfood which has been used by humans for thousands of years. Hemp seed food products are sold in supermarkets around the world: Ironically, Australia is one of the few countries which still prohibits the sale of hemp food, and yet we still allow food companies to put toxic chemicals in our food which have been banned in most other countries. There is something terribly wrong about the leadership – or lack thereof – which has allowed this situation to happen” [Dr Keith Bolton- pictured]

Technically a nut, hempseed typically contains over 30% oil and about 25% protein, with considerable amounts of dietary fibre, vitamins and minerals.
Hempseed oil is over 80% in polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), and is an exceptionally rich source of the two essential fatty acids (EFAs) linoleic acid (18:2 omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (18:3 omega-3).
The two main proteins in hempseed are edestin and albumin. Both of these high-quality storage proteins are easily digested and contain nutritionally significant amounts of all essential amino acids. In addition, hempseed has exceptionally high levels of the amino acid arginine.
FACEBOOK GROUP- To pursue the legalisation of cannabis, and to promote intelligent research without agendas, into therapeutic use of cannabis. This Facebook Group aims to provide information about recreational and medicinal cannabis use in an unbiased way free of 'drug war' propaganda and lies.
Cannabis has been used by over a third of the Australian population. Many of those people use once or twice and never use again. Some Australians become regular users and use the drug for many years for a large range of medical uses or as a safer alternative to other recreational drugs, many of which are addictive or have other serious health risks unlike cannabis.
There are a wide range of medicinal benefits associated with cannabis without the side effects associated with many prescription medicines that can affect the users life in a very negative way.
In recent times we have begun to better understand some of the benefits associated with cannabis use. As a result, there has been a marked increase in people searching for accurate information regarding it's use.

____________ Will BIG JOINT look good on the steps outside the powerhouse in the big smoke, Sydney?
This surprising video explains the environmental interest in the non-drug variety of hemp as a versatile industrial fiber, and documents the history of its prohibition.
Backed by years of worldwide research, BILLION DOLLAR CROP exposes the political and industrial manipulations, which outlawed one of the most valued plants in history. Hemp once provided the paper on which US banknotes were printed, the cloth for the original Levi jeans, as well as the sails and rigging of ships. During World War II it was of such strategic importance that the US Government encouraged farmers to convert to hemp cultivation.
BILLION DOLLAR CROP shows how the recently developed, non-drug variety of hemp is being researched and cultivated internationally because of the plant's versatile qualities and environmental friendliness. This program takes the audience on a world tour from Australia to the United Kingdom, and from The Netherlands to France and the US. It illustrates how hemp is being cultivated as an industrial fiber for use as an alternative to wood for paper production, to cotton for clothes, and to plywood for construction. We all benefit, especially our forests and topsoil.

GREEN ECONOMY based on a hemp multi-industry complex will provide income for farmers in every state. . . . thousands of new products generating tens of thousands of sustainable new jobs.
It was proven in the 1970's that biomass, specifically plant mass, can be converted to fuels that will replace every type of fossil fuel currently produced by industry -- and these biomass fuels are essentially non-polluting.
* Fossil fuel materials: coal, oil and natural gas were made by nature from earth biomass that lived over 160 million years ago. Crude fossil fuels contain hydrocarbon compounds that were made by plant life during the process of photosynthesis. Carbon dioxide and water were converted into hydrocarbon rich cellulose. Plants manufacture many other biochemicals in the complex and mysterious act of living, but cellulose and lignin are the compounds that give plants structure, body and strength. They are the main components of plant mass.
* Nature took millions of years to concentrate the ancient plant mass into what we call fossil fuels. The eons long process that converted the once living biomass into hydro-carbon rich fossils also compressed sulfur into the fossil biomass. It is this sulfur that causes acid rain when belched out of power plant smoke stacks. According to Brookhaven National Laboratory 50,000 Americans and 10,000 Canadians die each year from exposure to acid rain.
* Mankind through the science of chemical engineering can transform modern biomass into hydrocarbon fuels that contain no sulfur because the fresh plant mass contains no sulfur. And the scientific method of biomass conversion into hydrocarbon fuels requires mere hours instead of eons to accomplish.
* The inherent problem with burning fossil fuels to power industrial energy systems and economies is the mega-ton release of CO 2 into the air. However biomass derived fuels are part of the present day global CO 2 cycle.
The quantity of CO 2 released into the air from burning biomass fuels is equal to the amount of CO 2 the biomass energy crop absorbed while it grew.
* If the energy crop is an annual plant then one years biomass fuel when burned will supply the CO 2 needed for the next year's fuel biomass growth. There will be no net increase in atmospheric CO 2.
* For over 100 years industrialized nations have burned hydrocarbon fuels that are not part of the current ecosystem. The delicate balance between life and climatic cycles is being undone by injecting ancestral CO 2 into the atmosphere.
The only way to reduce the ever-thickening blanket of CO 2 warming the earth is to grow more plants to absorb it.
. Since 1998, Canada has grown industrial hemp for seed and for fibre. Canadian farmers and businesses are interested in the growing business of hemp as it realises its potential to produce healthy food and environmentally-friendly products, including paper, textiles, biocomposites and sustainable building materials.
The Embassy shop has been unable to find durable herbal vaporisers within Australia. (Some parts were too easily damaged.) If we import herbal vaporisers in quantity the duty is prohibitive. We are currently advising people to buy their herbal vaporisers individually over the internet, as duty is not normally levied on individual items, and it is cheaper than buying a commercially imported item in a shop. You may need to do some internet research to find a GOOD DURABLE brand. If a durable local model comes to our attention, we will stock them. Police in Nimbin are cracking down on the sale of bongs (water pipes) and it appears they will no longer countenance the sale or supply of bongs here and are enforcing the letter of the law.
